Good Health Club for Kids
Helping Children Be Healthy
As a pediatrician, you understand the importance of establishing good health habits early in life. This can help your patients avoid adult onset diseases like obesity and diabetes, which is becoming increasingly more common among children. Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi, along with the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association offers the Good Health Club Physician ToolkitSM with education materials designed specifically for physicians, parents and kids.
With this toolkit and your partnership with your patients and their parents, we can help make Mississippi a healthier place to live. The Good Health Club Physician Toolkit encourages kids to:
- Eat 5 servings of fruits and vegetables every day
- Limit screen time to 2 hours or less
- Get at least 1 hour of physical activity
- Limit sweetened drinks to 0
