About Coding Policy
Generally, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi follows CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10-CM national coding guidelines. Coding has a direct affect on reimbursement. It can affect the timeliness and accuracy of claim payments. The use of the Coding Policy is not intended to replace independent medical judgement for treatment of individuals.
Out-of-State or Non-Network Providers
To view an out-of-state Blue Plans' medical policies or prior authorization/care coordination information, please select "Request Out-of-State Provider Information" below. You will need to enter the first three letters of the member's identification number on the Blue Cross and Blue Shield ID card.
