Benefits of Breastfeeding
The American Academy of Pediatrics supports breastfeeding as the optimal way to feed your baby, ideally for at least the first 6-12 months of life. The AAP also recommends safe sleep practices during the first 12 months.
Breastfeeding provides numerous health benefits for both mother and baby, including providing perfect nutrients for baby and even some cancer protection for mother. Once your baby is old enough, you can start introducing solids and other foods.
