POLICY

The vasoseal device with a collagen plug is used to close a venous access site and control bleeding. This is not a separately billable service according to the American Medical Association (AMA) CPT Information & Education Services. It is inappropriate to report this service separately, and it is also inappropriate to use code 93799 (unlisted cardiovascular service or procedure) to report this service.
