Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi provides a wide range of electronic products and services to help healthcare providers work with us faster, more accurately, and at less cost. The following products and services are available from us to help you enter claims and transmit them to us electronically.

• EMC Plus is a free PC-based product you can use to enter CMS1500 claims electronically from your PC.

• Hospital ESC is a free PC-based product you can use to enter UB04 claims electronically from your PC.

• Dental ESC is a free PC-based product you can use to enter dental claims electronically from your PC.

The Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi Clearinghouse offers an inexpensive all-payer electronic claims clearinghouse that will get your claims to the right place quickly, efficiently, and securely.

If you are a network provider who is signed up for myAccessBlue.com, our secure provider web portal, you may download these free products anytime from the downloads section of myAccessBlue.com. Note: The Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi products and our clearinghouse are updated to utilize the X12 version 5010 electronic claims format which is mandated for use beginning January 1, 2012.

For Pharmacy Providers:

Effective December 19, 2011, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi will accept NCPDP Version D.0 standard transactions for pharmacy claims transactions. Version D.0 standards will replace the current Version 5.1 of the NCPDP standard covered entitites used for pharmacy transactions including claims, coordination of benefits, requests and responses. The compliance date for all covered entitites to use NCPDP version D.0 is January 1, 2012.

Note: Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi will accept HIPAA 4010 and NCPDP 5.1 electronic claims submissions through June 30, 2012, to support the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services enforcement discretion period.
