We want all Mississippians to know their health risks (based on blood pressure, cholesterol levels, glucose levels and body mass index) so they can manage their health. We partner with Network Providers throughout the state to ensure our members can develop relationships with their healthcare providers -- relationships that are essential to develop and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Too many Mississippians suffer from chronic diseases, but we can help change that and improve their quality of life. Chronic diseases are debilitating and costly, but with the right information and motivation, people can learn to make healthy choices. The U.S. Surgeon General says most chronic diseases can be prevented by our personal decision to stop using tobacco, eat healthy foods, be physically active, maintain a healthy weight and receive regular health screenings.

Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi's benefits and programs are designed to help people make the right, healthy choices regarding these factors. Together, we can make a healthier Mississippi and help people live longer, healthier lives.
