The Affordable Care Act requires individuals to have health insurance coverage, or qualify for an exemption, in order to avoid a tax payment. As part of the Affordable Care Act, individuals filing 2014 tax returns must indicate in their tax return whether they had qualifying health insurance coverage.
To support your tax filing for 2014, we've provided information about your Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi coverage in the "My Info" section of our myBlue member portal. You can access your information by simply logging in above. Once in "My Info", go to the "Account Information" section, choose a Member's name from the drop down menu and click "Open."
The Health Plan Coverage Information document can be printed or saved. Please keep the document for your tax records or provide it to your tax professional.
If you have a Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi Medicare Supplement plan, you will need to contact Medicare (1-800-Medicare) directly for details related to 2014 tax filing.
